Don't like McDonald's, but I had a craving for it today. After work I was starving. The weather the past couple of days had been gloomy, so I guess I needed comfort food. In my hurry to feed myself, I walked at a grueling pace. The woman ahead of me with her son were quite startled by this. They stopped to look back at me and even let me pass them. I don't blame them. It was pretty dark and I don't have the friendliest face especially when I want to get my grub on. When I made my way in I could see it was pretty crowded. The people that stood out to me the most were three fobby Desi girls sitting at a table next to a window. From afar they looked like aunties. One had a dupatta over her head, and the other two looked like her children. Turns out they were probably in teenagers. I placed my order and waited at the side of the counter. I didn't make eye contact with them until I heard: "Nasreen! Nasreen! Nahi nahi nahi nahi! Woh jo na, uska..." I didn't understand what she said after that because if I did would have burst out in laughter, but she sounded serious about it.
The only thing I could see on their table was a McFlurry or some type of ice cream. It was doused in chocolate syrup. Might have been the reason for her hyper activity. Good to see the Sisters keeping it halal, unlike me. I grabbed my food and headed for the door like any other normal human being would do. Then out of what seemed like nowhere two of the girls were to my left. Oh well. Maybe they were leaving too. Then the one with the dupatta on. The one who I thought to have the most modesty, brushed her shoulder against mine. When I looked at her she giggled and said: " Am sorry!" I will provide a voice clip at the bottom to give you an idea of what she sounded like.
Whatever. I'm trying to eat. I am Baliwala. I told the woman at the register no pickles and she didn't listen to me. What an asshole. That is all.
